Chic Sugars is a custom cake boutique located 2 miles from the Manhattan that creates elegant creative wedding cakes, birthday cakes, baby shower cakes, and many other custom desserts for all of your special events.  We service New York, New Jersey, Long Island, and parts of Connecticut and Pennsylvania.

Basics of Buttercream Class (Sunday October 13, 9am-5pm)

The full cost is $275 for this class.  **If you select "half pay" your slot is reserved and an invoice for the additional amount will be emailed to you, but if full payment is not received at least 2 weeks prior to the class, your slot and deposit will be forfeited.  The deposit can NOT be used for a later class.  Additionally, due to the limited seats in the class, we will not be offering any refunds.**

This class is a 8 hour class with 1 hour for lunch and breaks combined, that will cover the basics and fundamentals of covering and decorating fondant covered cakes.  During this class you will learn to torte, level, fill, crumb coat, and cover in buttercream with sharp edges.  We will learn some basic decorating techniques like ombre, bows, stripes, and onlays.

Additionally, we will discuss cake business 101.  The basics of starting a business, customer interactions, and contracts and invoices.
