1. Can I come to your store to see your cakes and sample them?
YES!!!! Finally!!! We have an assortment of our most popular flavors made fresh daily and available for purchase in both cake jar and cupcakes form 7 days a week! If you would like to sample our flavors, but do not wish to travel to the store, we offer a sample package that can be shipped. The package consists of an assortment of our most popular flavor combos, which is shipped to you overnight via UPS. The cost for this is $35.
2. Does Chic Sugars offer tasting and/or consultations?
At this time, we only offer consultations for weddings or for any events with a budget exceeding $800. For all other events, cupcakes can be purchased to sample or have a sample package shipped to you. The package consists of an assortment of our most popular flavor combos, which is shipped to you overnight via UPS. The cost for this is $35.
3. How much does a Chic Sugars custom cake cost?
The custom products we create are specially made for you and your event so the pricing varies based on several variables. The minimum order is $150, which, will generally yield about 15 servings but that greatly depends on the final design of cake. For more info please see the price list.
4. How do I place an order with Chic Sugars?
You can begin the ordering process by calling (646) 361-4232 or sending us an email at email@example.com. Once we get the details of what you would like, we will begin the designing process with you. If necessary, we will sketch the design and e-mail it to the you. With this, we will be both be on the same page about what the cake will look like. Once we finalize the design, a final price is quoted. If we are all in agreement about the details, we will draft a contract and e-mail that to you; this contract can be signed electronically. We will also e-mail an invoice, which can be paid online. Keep in mind in order to reserve a cake and hold a specific date, a 50% non-refundable retainer is required. A date/cakeis not reserved until a contract has been signed and the retainer has been paid. The remaining balance is due two weeks prior to the event.
5. How soon should I place my order?
Good Question!! We always recommend that my clients place their orders as soon as possible. We are generally booked out as far as 8 weeks in advance. A date is not reserved until a 50% non-refundable retainer and signed contract are received.
6. What forms of payment does Chic Sugars accept?
Chic Sugars sends out invoices via e-mail, which allows them to be paid online via a secure portal. We also allow payment via Square Wallet. Or if a client prefers they can print out the invoice and send in a check or money order, if time permits.
7. Does Chic Sugars deliver and if so, how far?
We deliver within the Tri-State area (NY, NJ, CT). The delivery rates are based on total driving time from my location to the event. The delivery fees are flat rates that range from $35 (within 30 minutes of Manhattan) to $175 (central CT). Please call or e-mail for for a specific location pricing.
RETAINERS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. THE MONIES MAY BE USED TOWARDS A FUTURE ORDER BUT WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.
