Our cake 101 class is a 7.5 hour class that will cover the basics and fundamentals of covering and decorating fondant covered cakes. During this class you will learn to torte, level, fill, and crumb coat cakes before covering them in fondant with sharp edges. We will cover both a round and square tier during the class. We will learn some basic decorating techniques like quilting, creating a gift box, ruffles, bows, and onlays.
Additionally, we will discuss cake business 101. The basics of starting a business, customer interactions, and contracts and invoices.
All cake, buttercream, and fondant will be provided. A list of necessary equipment will be provided 2 month before the class which can either be purchased as a kit from Chic Sugars or elsewhere.
Due to the limited seats in the class, we will not be offering any refunds. If for some reason after you have paid, you need to cancel your monies paid can be used towards a future class
